Chicken Foot Soup
It’s that time of the year again, Brrr…winter is here!
Try this chicken soup recipe to keep you and your family warm and toasty all winter long. If you’ve never tried chicken foot before, this soup will knock your socks off! No pun intended, just try it, you won’t be disappointed.
Cook time: 1-Hour
Prep: Clean all vegetables with vinegar and chop into small/medium pieces.
Vegetables: ½ small Pumpkin/ Small Sweet Potato/ (2x) Corn/ Small Yellow Yam / (4x) Irish Potato / (1x) Carrot/ 1-Chopped Onion
Bring 8-cups of water to boil add (10x) chicken feet / (5x) chicken neck bones
Cook for 30:00 minutes until chicken is tender.
Add vegetables; Add 4-cups of water to cover over 1” inch of soup contents / use a kitchen spoon and mix everything a couple times then add all seasoning.
1-Tbsp. Season Salt
1-Tbsp. Garlic Powder
1-Tbsp. Onion Powder
1 ½ Tsp. Salt
5 -Thyme Sticks
½ -Tbsp. Pimento Seeds
½ -Tsp. Paprika
2 -Tbsp. Chicken Flavor
1-2 Scotch Bonnet Pepper
Cover pot and cook on Medium heat for 20:00 minutes. Turn contents in pot a couple of times then taste the soup.
Roll flour into small dumplings and add to pot, along with Pasta.
Simmer on Low heat for 10:00 -15:00 minutes. Until dumplings are ‘wet’ inside and not ‘dry’ or floured.
Turn off fire then let soup sit for 10:00 minutes, serve and enjoy.
