- 3-4 Cups of Sorrel
- 3 Liter of Water
- 1-Tbsp Pimento Seeds
- 3-5 Cups of Sugar
- 2-4 Small Ginger Pieces
- 4- Cinnamon Sticks
Bring water to a boil, then add sorrel, Ginger, Cinnamon sticks and Pimento seeds.
Turn off Heat and cover pot to let all the ingredients seep out into the water. You may leave overnight or until sorrel becomes cool to the touch.
Strain pot contents until only the liquid sorrel remains into mixing bowl.
Add 3-5 Cups of sugar or sweeten to taste. Be sure not to add more than 5-Cups of sugar to avoid making syrup. You can add more water to lighting the Sorrel taste.
*If you wish for a lighter Colored/ flavored Sorrel, use 2-Cups of Sorrel and 2 or 3- Cups of sugar.
